Yet Another Gorgeous Cat Eye by Tal Peleg

Yin and Yang cat eye by Tal Peleg

Cynthia:  As long as make-up artist extraordinaire, Tal Peleg, continues to create the most gorgeous and original cat eyes ever, I will continue to blog about them. I think they are magnificent. She calls this one "Yin and Yang" and it's an update on her first cat eye that went viral last year. I blogged about that one here and her Dr. Seuss Cat in the Hat one here.

Marcy:  I thought one of my 2014 New Year's resolutions for you was to decrease your use of silly superlatives.

Cynthia:  My New Year's resolution is to increase my use of super superlatives, Marcy. I want a new year that is coated in them.  Now jump on board and join me in marveling at this most marvelous cat eye ever.

Tal Peleg's work continues to be intricate, emotional, and artistic. This next one is based on The Princess and the Pea.

Cynthia:  And this next one is a startlingly precise depiction of manic depression.

Marcy:   That is so pretty... but... so dark. Just like me.

Cynthia:  Yes, so can we please aim for a year that contains more electric pink butterflies and less crying coal?

Marcy:  I aim high. At least to the top of the refrigerator.

  1. I wonder what she uses and if it is easily removed. I especially love the yin and yang cats. Does she draw them on her own eye or is that a model? I hope she doesn't suffer from manic depression.

    1. That is Tal Peleg in the picture. She uses regular face makeup and does these on herself using a mirror. After she takes the picture she removes it I am sure like you would any eye makeup. Her work is vast - fairy tales, children's stories, food, illnesses, etc... I think that is what makes her so interesting and appealing. She touches on so many emotions with each different creation.

  2. Oh my gosh! She does that by looking in the mirror? I can barely put on eyeliner. Wow! My favorite is the princess and the pea. I have always had a fondness for that story. As a child I thought I would definitely be able to feel the pea. Therefore proving I was indeed a princess. This morning I woke up on the remote I had slept on last night. I think that dream is over. But I still love the story.

Thanks for sharing! I am going to show my daughter. I bet she coukd do something like this. She loves makeup and art!
